Topshop Cream Blush – Head Over Heels – Swatches & Review

Since it’s release just over 5 years ago Topshop make up has been a triumph! The products have been reviewed by beauty bloggers worldwide and the comments are consistent throughout, it’s very high quality at high street price, and you can’t argue with that. Personally I have only tried the lipsticks, cream blush and cream highlight, and I love every single one of them. Today I’ll be showing you my most used product from the range, which is the cream blush in Head Over Heels.

Head Over Heels is a gorgeous pink-coral shade with a slight golden shimmer running through it. I can be worn sheerly on the cheeks for a natural flush or layered on for a bright pop of colour. It goes with any look you could possibly desire and reminds me of Nars Orgasm blush. The texture is very creamy making it extremely easy to blend into the cheeks, and I have also used it as a lip colour, using it as the base before placing Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant – full review here – over the top to give it a high shine juicy look. My personal favourite way to wear this blush is in the summertime, with lashings of mascara, tons of bronzer and a hint of colour on the lips.

As with most cream products it will wear off throughout the day but if I want the blush to be longer wearing I will pop a layer of Nars Orgasm Blush over the top to really lock it into place. However, I tend to take the compact sized blush with me, as I prefer a dewy glowy look during the summertime.

Head Over Heels is one of those perfect all round blushes and I already have a back-up as it is no longer on the website, so I’m unsure whether they’ve discontinued the shade. If so, do you know any cream blushers which are similar to this shade?
