So, it’s hardly news that chrome nails are in. But after watching countless videos of the pigment being added to the nail I wanted not only the nails, but to know more..

How do you create a chrome nail?
First you need to create a base, this is dependant on what kind of chrome colour you are after. My nail tech put down a silver base to intensify the chrome effect.

Then apply a clear gelish and once set and the nail clean (so it isn’t sticky) using an eyeshadow sponge applicator you simply pick up the pigment and using circular motions rub it over the nail to create the effect.

This process can be done numerous times, it depends how long it takes to get the desired effect. Then simply apply a top coat and voila.
