Superdrug – Went in for 1 thing, came out with 4 – Kinda Haul

I think it’s impossible for me to walk into any make up shop for a hair product and stop myself from delving into the displays. Oops. To be fair, I’m going to blame Superdrug as they had a 3 for 2 on GOSH Cosmetics and it drew me in like a moth to a flame.

So what I actually went in for was John Frieda Sheer Blonde Go Lighter Lightening Spray (£6.99, Superdrug).  I’m currently going through an anti-colouring phase as I want to get my hair into a healthier condition, so this will be perfect for slightly lightening my natural hair so it blends better with the balayage which is already in place.
Essentially you spray it into your wet hair after washing and by using it with heat tools such as your hair dryer, straightener or curling iron it will lighten your hair naturally.
After I’ve used this for a couple of weeks I’ll get back to you with a review. Then I stumbled across the GOSH display. The first thing that caught my eye was the Lumi Drops in Bronze (£7.999, Superdrug). I’ve been after a bronze highlighter for quite some time now to use as a base under or mixed in with my foundation and when I saw this it was as if fate had found me. I tried it on my hand in the store and it looks perfect for what I wish to use it for, it may even be great for non foundation days!

Then lipsticks started to catch my eye, this happens with every display to be fair. Now I’ve never tried out a GOSH lipstick before and I was drawn to a couple of colours but the one which really stood out to me was from the Velvet Touch Matt range and it is called Smoothie (£6.99, Superdrug). It is a colour unlike any others I have, it’s a neutral mid toned rosy pink kind of colour and I am super excited to try it out. It smells just like a MAC lipstick and a swatching post will be up shortly don’t you worry!

Finally, as it was 3 for 2 I thought it would be rude not too get another product. I haven;t really experimented in the GOSH range, I remember when I was at uni I used to use their matte finish foundation but nothing else I have really tried. As tempting as it was to purchase another lipstick I thought it would be more worth my while, and your while if I tried a different product. So I ended up purchasing the Intense Eyeliner Pen in Brown (£6.99, Superdrug). It claims to be smudgeproof and it is quite a deep brown. It’s not really a colour I would tend to go for, usually I stick to black but recently I’ve seen Kylie Jenner using brown and it is a very flattering shade so I thought this was the perfect opportunity to give it a go.

Are there any other products you would recommend from the GOSH range?

  1. Yes the GOSH foundation drops are great! I had a similar problem when I went into Superdrug last week as they has re-merchandised the entire make up section so everything looked amazing. They also had the Sleek range which I hadn’t seen before and wanted pretty much everything. I had very strong will power and decided to research online to buy stuff I actually need so walked out empty handed. Enjoy your new purchases!
