‘Little’ Boots Haul..

Not that I ever need an excuse to nip into Boots, but at least I had a valid one this time. I had a voucher to use, and my goodness, I was fast to use it. I went in knowing 2 things I wished to get, the rest, well the rest just kinda happened.. ooops.

Eyelure Brow Shapers (£2.69, Boots)
This is one of the items I did actually go in for, I’ve had them before in the past and decided this year I really need to start looking after my brows properly again. I can get so lazy with them, as I’m sure many of us do. Thankfully though messy brows are in so at least nobody pays too much attention when we’re having those bushy brow days. The pack contains three sheets of pre-waxed strips, these are to be used to get rid of all those annoying fine hairs which like to live under, above and around your brows. It’s amazing to see how many hair that you’ve never noticed are around your brows. It not only makes your brows look a lot neater, it also makes filling them in a lot easier. I would highly recommend them.

NYX Lip Lingerie in Lace Detail (£6.50, Boots)
I am extremely late to this party. If you read my blog, you’ll know my love for liquid lipsticks, and considering these are so affordable it’s a mystery to even me why it’s taken so long to get my hands on one. I decided to go for a pretty neutral pink-toned everyday shade. It’s something that’s missing from my liquid lipstick collection and I’ve been eyeing up some more expensive ones, but when I saw the NYX counter at Boots I thought why not give this one a try. So far I’m really enjoying it, so keep your eyes peeled for a full review.

L’Oreal Miss Hippie Waterproof Mascara (£7.99, Boots)
As my current mascara is starting to dry out, it was time for a new one and I’m not one for sticking to a mascara as honestly, I’ve never found one I really love. What drew me into this one, is that it’s meant to fan out the lashes along with lengthening and adding volume. Reviews I have seen in the amazing beauty community have all been pretty good, so why not give it a go? I went for the waterproof version as I often find my lashes straighten out throughout the day unless using a waterproof formula. The longer I can keep my lashes looking fresh, the better.

WunderBrow 1-Step Brow Gel (£19.95, Boots)
Every woman, man and their dog will have heard about WunderBrow by now, and if not, where the hell have you been? WunderBrow is something I’ve always wanted to try, but without seeing the colour range it’s hard to ensure I’d be getting the right colour. I will say, as someone with blonde hair and who usually uses medium brown in Anastasia Beverly Hills products, I was surprised that I’ve had to go for the darkest shade – Brown/Black. If you have darker brows, I’m unsure if you’d find a good match. The product  itself is a gel which you apply to your brows and in the words of WunderBrow themselves “Its exclusive Permafix Technology and proprietary Hair Fiber Complex creates the perfect brow in less than two minutes that will last for days”. I’ll be sure to review this the more I use it, however, so far I’m enjoying it.

Love, always.

  1. Ooh, I’ve always been so scared of the Eylure Brow Shapers because I’d rather get someone else to fiddle with my eyebrows than do it myself haha! But they sound really good just to tidy up when the brows are in need of doing! I may try them now ah thanks!

  2. Loving that lippie and mascara 😊 I don’t take my brows as much anymore so those sticky strips look great! I followed you on IG & twitter 😊

  3. I just published a post regarding the NYX Lingerie collection, you liked my “fakes” post, so as you can guess, I got a fake for a fraction of the price. My question to you is, how’s the scent of the original ones?
Mine smells slightly of vanilla or something like caramel.

    Nice blog!
