Oh the flowers are blooming, the sun is shining and it’s finally feeling like Spring. The only bad thing about the weather starting to change is that your lips start to feel the pain, as the weather gets warmer they need hydrating. What better way to hydrate them that with a subtle pop of colour with Sleek.
Sleek products have never let me down and when I saw this Pout Polish in Frosting (£5.01, Amazon.co.uk) in my local Beauty Outlet I grabbed it without thinking twice. Not only is this product affordable, it takes me back to my younger days when I used to religiously wear the colour Peach Perfection.
The Frosting colour spoke to me on a more mature level as in the pot it’s a gorgeous light baby pink colour, and pinks are my absolute favourite for Spring.
It actually looks a lot brighter in the pot than when it’s on the lips as I’m sure you can see from the swatches.
It’s goes on so smoothly and doesn’t cling to any dry patches, if you do have any it actually seems to glide over them, making your lips look a lot smoother than they actually are. The colour pay off is great, it leaves your lips with the perfect semi-sheer pigment which looks so healthy.
The scent of the product is a sweet fragrance, but I’ll be honest it’s definitely there it seems to cover up a more chemically fragrance.
As with most lip moisturising products, the Pout Polish stays on for around 1-2 hours depending on what your upto. The colour also goes with it, but for a lip balm style product this is what’s to be expected.
Regarding the moisturisation however, as the product contains almond, wheat germ and avocado oil along with Shea butter. It’s one of the few pigmented lip products I have that actually heals the lips rather than make them feel even drier. It also contains SPF15 which is great for if you’re lucky enough to be out and about in the sunshine.
I’d highly recommend these Pout Polish’s, there’s so many colours to choose from that there really is a shade to suit everybody!
