It doesn’t matter what kind of lips you have, I can almost guarantee that everyone would prefer different ones. Be it bigger ones, different shapes ones or even different colour ones.

For me, I’ve always craved bigger lips. Not massively much bigger, and not enough to warrant me getting injections – but definitely enough for me to try different plumping glosses and devices.

After heading to Victoria Secret at the airport recently, I was torn between getting the plumping gloss or the minty gloss – which I did end up getting – Minty Lipgloss That Will Have Everyone Wanting to Kiss You!

So, on a recent trip to Boots, I picked up Soap and Glory’s Sexy Mother Pucker XL Lip Plumping Gloss (£10, Boots).

I’ve heard a lot of good things about this lip plumping gloss, and I thought what’s the harm in giving it a go.

I was so excited to have picked it up, that as soon as I got in the car I was ripping open the packet to put it on my lips.

The first thing that hit me was the smell, I believe it’s the oils that are in the gloss but it smells like straight up honey – which strangely enough, makes me want to eat the product and after I tell you the next thing – please don’t eat it, it’s not pleasant. Unfortunately, I had to learn the hard way.

On the gloss itself, it does have a warning ‘A super-sizing, extra-strength collagen lip shine with LIPSWELL natural plant oil infusion, SUPERFILL nanovectors and VISIVOLUME immediate effect lip filler.’
Warning: May cause tingling sensation.

Oh my, this causes a tingling sensation indeed. One which I strangely find enjoyable. So much so, that I end up putting more on when the feelings gone.

The best way I can describe it, is like pins and needles on your lips – and this is why you shouldn’t attempt to eat the gloss – the same feeling on your tongue isn’t quite as enjoyable.

As you can see from my before and after, the gloss definitely does something. Now no, it’s not the biggest difference in the world, but it fills in all the cracks in your lips, given them a plumper and more volumised look. Now, this may look like a bigger difference on those who have smaller lips than myself – but this is something you’d have to try for yourself.

In terms of the gloss itself, it’s very glossy and not at all sticky on the lips. It looks great both alone and on top of another lip colour.

Overall, if you’re after a plumping gloss that really works. I’d recommend giving this one a go.
