Subtle Smokey Purple Eye with Violet Liquid Liner

I recently purchased some colourful eyeliner from one of my favourite brands NYX – Went In For Concealer, Came Out With a Little More.. – and I was dying to find a way to make it wearable. To make sure there wasn’t a contrasting look to the eye, I stuck to the similar purple shades to create this look and I’m very happy with how it’s turned out.

It’s perfect to wear with a neutral lip for the day time or you could amp it up with a bold vampy lip for the night.

I started by applying the shade My Tribe from the Ciate x Chloe Morello – Pretty, Fun and Fearless palette (£39, Feel Unique) all over the lid with the big fluffy brush from the Storybook Cosmetics Wand 5-piece set ($55, Storybook Cosmetics).

Then taking the gorgeous dusty pink shade Be Sassy, from the same palette, I applied this onto the lid and into the crease of the eyelid using the same brush.

Once completed, I took the angled fluffy brush from the same set and applied the more purple dusty shade Jet Setter and applied this into the crease of the eye.

I then took the Zoeva Smoky Shader brush (£9, Beauty Bay) and applied the same shade along the lower lash line and smoked it out.

To complete the purple vibes, I added a wing of NYX Vivid Brights liquid liner in Violet (£5.50, Boots) before applying my favourite NYX Doll Eye mascara in waterproof black (£8, Boots).

This eye look is the perfect subtle statement for everyday and I’ve been using this liner at least twice a week, I absolutely love it.

Do you have any of the other vivid bright liners from NYX and if so, how do you wear them?

And in case you’re interested, the lip colour worn in this look is Tanya Burr’s lipstick in Pink Cocoa (£6.99, Superdrug).

Love, always.
