NYX Butter Gloss in Madeleine – The Glossiest of Glosses?!

I’m not the biggest lipgloss fan in the world, mainly because my hair always gets stuck to it.

I’m also not the kind of girl that likes to top up their lip product throughout the day. I like to simply put it on in the morning and let it be.

When I did a recent Boots NYX trip – Went In For Concealer, Came Out With a Little More.., the colour of this gloss in particular really caught my eye.

Madeleine (£5.50, Boots) is a gorgeous true brown light nude colour and the butter gloss formula is quoted as being ‘buttery soft, silky smooth and melts onto the lips’.NYX Butter Gloss Cruelty Free Blogger Beccapbeauty Becca Madeleine Lipgloss Lipstick Makeup BeautyNYX Butter Gloss Cruelty Free Blogger Beccapbeauty Becca Madeleine Lipgloss Lipstick Makeup Beauty Review Swatch

The gloss is pigmented enough to be worn alone but is also not pigmented enough to distort the colour of any lip product that’s worn underneath it.

Personally, my favourite way to wear this gloss is by first lining my lips with a nudey colour lip liner, in the picture below I’m wearing Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lip Liner in Tiramisu (£2.99, Boots).

I line the outside of my lips and blend it into the lip itself before applying the gloss to make sure there’s no definite edges.

It’s the perfect gloss, it’s not too sticky and it’s the kind of colour that will go perfect with any look, day to night.NYX Butter Gloss Cruelty Free Blogger Beccapbeauty Becca Madeleine Lipgloss Lipstick Makeup Beauty Doefoot Applicator Review SwatchNYX Butter Gloss Cruelty Free Blogger Beccapbeauty Becca Madeleine Lipgloss Lipstick Makeup Beauty Lip Swatch Swatches Review Reviews Lips

It’s one of those items that’s great to have in your purse and pop it on whenever you need it.

Although it’s not moisturising enough to use as a sort of lip balm product, it definitely doesn’t dry the lips out.

It’s also the right amount of glossy – if that makes sense – it’s not super glossy but it’s got a gorgeous shine to it that stays out for a good couple of hours before you need to reapply.

Personally, even though I do love the shade of this product, it’s not one I reach for on a daily basis but it would definitely be the gloss I’d reach for over most of my others.

I’d love to know what your favourite gloss is, let me know in the comments section down below.

Love, always.
