Colour Changing Unicorn Lipstick

I know that I’m not the only one that gets completely suckered into anything that’s a bit whacky and has an amazing name.

Hence why when I saw this yellow Unicorn lipstick from Barry M (£4.99, Superdrug) it was in my hand and I was at the till before I could even say ‘Do I really need it?’.

I’m not going to lie, this lipstick is a complete gimmick.

It’s a yellow lipstick – buttery yellow and it’s one of those lipsticks that reacts to your skin to make the perfect pink colour for you – and this one is a gorgeous pink.

If anything, it starts off a muted mid-pink and the more you apply throughout the day and the stain it leaves behind starts to become a hot pink colour.

That’s what I love about these lipsticks – they stain the lips and provide you with that just bitten look all day long.

The only downside – if you can call it that – is that once the lipstick has reacted with the lips, the bullet of the lipstick turns to a pink colour and no longer looks quite as magical.

It’s a shiny, moisturising stain kind of lipstick that just leaves a healthy shine but no gloss on the lips. It’s definitely a great one to throw of if you’re having an otherwise subtle makeup day.

They also have a green to pink Genie lipstick and a blue to purple Neptune lipstick.

Barry M are also cruelty-free and a vegan brand – which is always a winner in my books.

Overall, this a great pop in your bag and go lip product and for the price, I’m definitely glad I bought it.

Do you love a gimmick makeup product? I’d love to know your favourite.

Love, always.

  1. I do like a gimmick but the shade isn’t usually to my liking. I wanted to try the jelly flower lipsticks but they all give a pale pink which I hate so it’s not worth me buying for that unfortunately
