I think I’ve finally completed the task of all tasks. I’ve found my perfect foundation and who’d of thought that I bought it on a complete whim, off ASOS, no colour matching and a simple ‘hmm, let’s give it a go’ attitude.
EX1 Ivisiwear Liquid Foundation (£12.50, ASOS) is designed for those of us who have olive skin and struggle to find a shade of foundation to match them.
It only comes in a range of 12 shades but it does cover a good spectrum from fair to dark. It’s 100% oil and fragrance free which is brilliant. As you can see from the photos, I’ve been using the foundation for a fair few weeks now and can honestly say that I’ve had no bad reactions from it.
Another great thing about EX1 Cosmetics is that they’re cruelty free – believing that bunnies are for cuddling and not testing on. Always a massive plus in my eyes.
I find that this foundation is great coverage without making the skin look cakey, completely made-up and the skin can still breathe underneath.
Whenever I wear this product, it doesn’t feel heavy on the face. It’s also super blendable and as you can see from when it’s first applied to after it’s blended and dried, it has a satin-matte kind of finish.
My favourite way to apply this is with a beauty sponge – as it provides great coverage whilst still looking natural.
I find that this product lasts super well throughout the day. After an eight hour shift, although slightly worn it doesn’t become patchy or lighter coverage. If anything it just becomes more shiny from the oils of your skin and more transferable.
The shade 5 is perfect for me when I have a tan and doesn’t make me too yellow – something which I find a lot of drugstore foundations tend to do.
I find that when I do wear this foundation, I don’t tend to put concealer on day-to-day, it covers under the eyes enough to simply put a brightening powder on and be done with it.
It looks absolutely flawless with a full-glam makeup look, as can be seen here..
I’d highly recommend this foundation to anyone who can never find quite the right shade for their olive based skin – and if there’s a shade that’s close enough even though you’re not olive toned, I’d still recommend it as it looks amazing on the skin and wears amazingly throughout the day.
I’m looking forward to trying out some of their powders and other shades, so if you’ve got any recommendations, please let me know!
Love, always.

I’d love to try this foundation! It looks lovely on you ❤ Does it seem to oxidize at all for you? That’s an issue for me a lot and I’m trying to find an affordable foundation that doesn’t on my fair skin haha.

I haven’t noticed that it oxidises no! But at the same time, it’s the one that I wear when I’m a bit tan anyway – the lighter ones do look nice and fair though so I’d definitely give them a shot x

I absolutely love Foundation reviews, especially the ones that aren’t talked about a lot, what a great find!
