Date Night Makeup – No Matter What The Date

Whether you’re going out for dinner, to a bar for a few drinks, a night on the town or just a simple cinema trip. This makeup’s got you covered.

I created this look with any occasion in mind, it’s pretty, flattering and not too over the top – yet glam enough if the occasion calls for it.

I used a mixture of both affordable high street products, including my current favourite palette from Makeup Revolution – the Iconic Division, Tanya Burr Perfect Brows and L.A. Girl’s amazing £5 concealer alongside The Balm’s Mary Loumanizer and Jeffree Star Liquid Lipstick.

It’s a look where the products used, if you don’t have them, can easily be swapped for something in your collection and I’d love to know if you recreate it yourself. It’s super simple and something I’d actually wear everyday. So let’s go ahead and create it..

The Ordinary Coverage Foundation in 2.1Y (£5.95, Beauty Bay)
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Natural (£5, Beauty Bay) applied under the eyes and to the centre of the face to highlight
Both applied and blended with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (£5.99, Superdrug)
RCMA No-Colour Powder (£13, Beauty Bay) to bake where we’ve put the concealer applied with the same sponge
Brush away with any fluffy brush you have

MAC Pro Longwear Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (£16, MAC Cosmetics) to prime the eye with fingers all over the lid up to the brow
Makeup Revolution Re-loaded Palette Iconic Division (£4, Superdrug)
Taking shade [1] a peachy creamy matte shade all over the eye
Applied with the big fluffy brush from the Storybook Cosmetics Wand Collection ($55, Storybook Cosmetics)
Then taking shade [2], an orange transition shade, on the same brush and applying this to the crease
To add colour, taking shade [3], a matte yellow-orange, all over the lid
Applied with the Zoeva Luxe Smoky Shader brush (£9, Beauty Bay)
To define the crease further, taking shade [4] a warm toned matte brown
Applied with the Spectrum Happy Medium Fluffy Shader (£5, Beauty Bay)
Then going back to shade [2] and mixing this with shade [4] to smoke out the lower lash line
Applied with the Makeup Revolution Ultra Pointed Crease Eye Brush (£5.99, Superdrug)
Bourjois Push Up Glamour Mascara (£8.99, Superdrug)* on the upper and lower lashes
MAC Eye Kohl in Smoulder (£15, MAC Cosmetics) applied into the waterlines

Tanya Burr Perfect Brows kit (£6.99, Superdrug)
Mixing all three brow colours – Pebble, Charcoal and Hot Cocoa – to create mid brown shade
Applied with the ZOEVA  Brow Line brush (£8, Beauty Bay)
To highlight under the brow, taking Fairy Cake from the palette
Applied using the small fluffy brush from the Morphe 12 Piece Sable set (£14, Beauty Bay

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun! (£24.50, MAC Cosmetics)
Applied with the New CID Cosmetics Powder brush (£31.50, New CID Cosmetics)** around the perimeters of the face to bronze
Benefit Hoola Bronzer (£24.50, Boots) as a contour
Applied with the Real Techniques Sculpting brush (£9.99, Boots)
Makeup Revolution Liquid Highlight in Lustre Gold (£6, Superdrug) applied with the dropper and then pat it in with the fingers onto the cheeks, nose and cupid’s bow
Topped with The Balm Mary Loumanizer (£19.99, Very)
Applied using the fan brush from the Morphe 12 Piece Sable set (£14, Beauty Bay) and also into the inner corner of the eye using the Zoeva Luxe Petit Crease brush (£9, Beauty Bay)
Makeup Geek blusher in Secret Admirer (£7.95, Beauty Bay)
Applied using the Real Techniques Contour brush from the Flawless Base set (£19.99, Superdrug)

Rimmel 1000 Kisses Lipliner in Tiramisu (£2.99, Boots) to define the lips
Bourjois Rouge Velvet the Lipstick in Hyppink Chic (£8.99, Superdrug)
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Nude Beach (£12, Beauty Bay) dabbed on top to brighten it up a little

Love, always.
