As soon as I got my hands on the amazing Makeup Revolution Iconic Division eyeshadow palette, I couldn’t wait to create a smoky eye using the gorgeous deep forest green and khaki shades from the palette – they were just calling out to me.
Not only was I feeling the greens but the yellows were also something I can’t say that I have in my collection so I was extremely intrigued to combine the two together.
I decided to create a smoky eye with a wing that went from the yellow into bronze and then khaki into the deep forest greens. I wanted to keep the under eye quite subtle as there was so much bold colour on the lid so only slightly took the darker colours over the outer third. By doing this, it also created a slight cat eye effect to the look.
As I mentioned in my post about the palette itself here, there is a bit of fallout so I’d definitely recommend doing your eyes first if you’re recreating this look. It’s perfect for a night out be it on the town or for a date. I paired it with a mid toned nude lip here but if you wanted to make it super glam, I’d personally use a super nude gloss. So let’s get into how to create it..
B A S E
EX1 Cosmetics liquid foundation in 5 (£12.50, ASOS)
Applied and blended with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (£5.99, Superdrug)
Makeup Revolution Luxury Banana powder (£5, Superdrug) mixed with the RCMA Over-Powder in Warm Gold (£15.50, Beauty Bay)

Applied with the big fluffy brush from the Storybook Cosmetics Wand Collection ($55, Storybook Cosmetics)
Then packing the mustard yellow shade [2] onto the inner half of the lid
Applied with the Zoeva Luxe Smoky Shader brush (£9, Beauty Bay)
Then taking the Storybook Cosmetics fluffy brush again with the orange toned yellow [3] to deepen the crease a little further
Next, add the deep matte khaki shade [4] with the Zoeva Smoky Shader onto the outer half of the lid
To blend everything together, take the angled fluffy brush from the Storybook Cosmetics set linked above and then repeat process of packing shade 2 and 4 onto the eye until opaqueness you want is achieved
To brighten up the crease, taking the bright peach shade [5]
Applied with the Zoeva Soft Definer brush (£9, Beauty Bay)
To then bring a shimmer to the matte eye, I took the bronze shade [6] on my finger and placed it between the blended shades into the centre of the eye
For smoking out the outer third of the lower lash line I took the deep forest green [7] and also applied this to the outer corner to define the look a little further
Applied with the Makeup Revolution Ultra Pointed Crease Eye Brush (£5.99, Superdrug)
For the inner highlight, I took the gorgeous shade [8] which is a pearlescent shimmer shade with a pink duochrome
Applied using the Zoeva Luxe Petit Crease brush (£9, Beauty Bay)
Then add your wing using the Ciate London Fierce Flicks liner (£15, Birchbox) and using the same liner take it into the upper water line

Thanks Bethany!
For a new blogger I would say, don’t put anything out you aren’t happy with it’s about the quality of your posts rather than how many you have!
And don’t worry about the numbers side of things, with time it’ll come.
Just think about your content x
