Subtle Glam and Loose Waves: A Tutorial

There’s a big difference between getting super glammed up to go out out or simply getting yourself ready to go to a family meal. Case in point being this post.

If I’m not already made up for the day, when doing my makeup and hair for a family meal, I don’t really go too crazy. All I want is something that looks pretty with either a bit of a bold eye or lip and I’m all good to go.

When getting ready for my Grandad’s 80th birthday meal, I’d just bought two of the new Super Stay Matte Ink liquid lipsticks from Maybelline and was dying to try them out! Although I got both Fighter and Amazonian, I ended up going with Amazonian due to it’s pinker undertone.

In terms of the hair, it was freshly washed that day and I find freshly washed hair doesn’t really do what you want it too. For that reason, I created some loose waves using my GHD straighteners and a soft bristle brush from Kent.

I’d really love it if you’d subscribe to my channel, hit the like button and show some support. I’m trying to do one video a week, although it is proving quite a new challenge for me due to me not being an expert at filming or editing – so any tips and tricks are also welcomed.

Love, always.

    1. They’re so good! It lasted all through the meal & I’ve worn them since and they literally last me all day long with no need to touch up. I really want to try out some of the lighter shades next! x

  1. Beautiful! I’m also toning down my make up looks… I think that because I so often wear lots of colored eyeshadow, people don’t really appreciate my more natural features haha. xoxo Sarah
