If ever I’m feeling a bit down in the dumps, wishing for warmer brighter days or simply wanting to pep up my makeup routine, I’ll always reach for a bright lip. Usually of the orange family too!
I think even if you can’t be bothered to do a full face and just whack on some mascara with a bright lip – for me personally, I get a good vibe from it and I’ll instantly be in a feel good mood.
So whether your pick me up colour’s red, orange, pink or purple – you can change this look for your personal favourite. I’d actually love to know what colour lipstick makes you feel ‘on’, so let me know in the comments!

Lovely look. I think red lipstick for me always looks like I’ve put loads of effort in even if I haven’t! I love a bright pink in summer as well x

I totally agree with you. If I’m ever in a rush I’ll do minimal makeup and a bright lip – just someone makes you look like you’ve tried. X

Wow! Love it, suits you really well. Mine is Russian red from Mac but I recently got a super purple one too which I can’t remember the name of. Colour always puts me in a better mood. Great post! Anna x (one half of the Cinnamon Buns and Roses blog)

I’ve never tried Russian Red as I’m a die bar Ruby Woo fan but I’m sure I’d love it too!
You must find out what the super purple one is and let me know! Thanks for stopping by x
