Much like your clothing, pieces of makeup in your collection belong to either your summer ‘wardrobe’ or your winter ‘wardrobe’. But why should that be the case? Especially when it comes to eyeshadow palettes, there’s so much choice within that one palette that there’s always a way to make it work and I’m here to show you how.

The reason this post came along was due to me wanting to reach for my Jeffree Star Thirsty Palette (£45, Beauty Bay) recently but thinking the warm colours were going to be a bit too much for this time of year. HELL NAH – this girl’s gonna make it work.

Yes, the shades in this palette are very warm toned and are perfect for glowy skin but there’s no reason I can’t take the golds and mid toned shades to create a perfect Christmas ready look – so that’s what I did and you’d like to find out what I did, please read the steps below.

Childs Farm Grapefruit & Tea Tree Moisturiser (£4.49, Superdrug) to moisturise the face and prepare it for that glowy look
The Ordinary Serum Foundation in 1.2Y (£5.95, Beauty Bay)
Applied with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (£5.99, Superdrug)
L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Suede (£5, Beauty Bay)
Applied to cream contour and then blended in with the same beauty sponge
RCMA Translucent Powder (£13, Beauty Bay)
Applied to set all the cream products into place with the Zoeva Face Focus brush (£13, Beauty Bay)

Jeffree Star Cosmetics Thirsty Palette (£45, Beauty Bay)
Taking the shade Subtle – a matte mid brown shade – to define the crease and outer corner as well as underneath the lower lash line
Applied with the Spectrum AO8 brush (£4.99, Spectrum)
To add that Christmas sparkle, I then took the shade Lick – a true gold metallic shadow – and applied this with my finger to the inner two thirds of the lid where Subtle isn’t placed
To then further define the lash line, I took the shade Drizzle – a deep matte warm toned brown
Applied to the upper and lower lash line, as well as to define the outer corner and crease further with the Zoeva Fine Liner brush (£4, Beauty Bay)
To then highlight the inner corner and give it that extra sparkle, taking the shade Filthy Rich – a champagne gold shimmer shadow with amazing glitter
Applied with the Zoeva Luxe Petit Crease brush (£9, Beauty Bay)
For the lashes, I took the L’Oreal Paradise mascara in Waterproof Black (£11.99, Superdrug) onto both upper and lower lashes

Tanya Burr Perfect Brow palette (£7, Feel Unique)
Taking a mix of the brow shades to make the perfect match and then applying with the Zoeva Brow Line brush (£8, Beauty Bay)

Makeup Revolution Vivid Baked Bronzer in Rock On World (£4, Beauty Bay)
Applied around the perimeters of the face to bronze with the New CID Cosmetics Chrome Powder brush (£31.50, New CID Cosmetics)
Nip and Fab Blush Palette in Blushed (£10.95, Superdrug)
Taking the shade Whisper – a nudey bronzed rose tone with the Real Techniques Blush brush (£9.99, Superdrug) on the apples of the cheeks
Makeup Revolution Ultra Strobe Balm Palette (£4, Revolution)
Taking the pink and champagne shade on the fingers and applying to the high points of the cheeks and the nose
To then set this in place and add even more blinding highlight, taking The Balm Mary Loumanizer (£20, Look Fantastic)
Makeup Revolution Sports Fix Setting Spray (£5, Superdrug)
