Meet Bruno

Any of you who follow my socials or have maybe just been around for a long time will know I have a pug. He’s my first born and honestly, live wouldn’t be the same without him. I thought why not introduce him formally and tell you a little bit about him.

After sadly losing my family dog who we’d had for almost 14 years my life wasn’t quite the same. There’s no feeling quite like coming home to a dog after going out or having furry cuddles.

As I was likely going to be moving out of my parent’s house, I asked if I could get my own dog who I would take with me when I moved. Thankfully they said yes and this is how the story began..

Bruno.

I’d always admired pugs. They’re so cute, they don’t need massive walks and they’re the biggest cuddle monsters know to man. After all, they were raised to sit on emperors laps in China. So I knew that’s where I wanted my search to begin.

Anyone who knows me understands it’s not in my nature to get a dog from a breeder. Our family dog, Elle, was from a rescue centre near where we live and for this reason I wanted to either rescue or adopt a dog.

I found Bruno whilst searching Pets4Homes and he was perfect. He was 2 1/2, house trained and the most beautiful boy I’d ever seen.

Meeting Bruno.

I met Bruno in his then family home and his temperament was everything. I held him in my arms and instantly fell in love. The family he was then with couldn’t take him into their new home and for this reason, were giving him up for adoption. I knew I wanted him to be mine and three weeks later he was..

All about Bruno.

Bruno is the funniest, laziest dog I know. I’ve had him for 4 1/2 years now and honestly, I treat him like a baby. He is a pedigree pug and his name with Kennel Club is Prince of Manchester. My goodness, does he act like royalty!

He wears diamonds and camo all at the same time. He gets lot of fuss, much to his disliking he also gets lots of walks (mainly due to having a big little brother) and he loves to play. He’ll let you pick him up like a baby and honestly, I think he’d let you do it all day long.

He has to be sat with someone at all times. You won’t find him on his own! If he is sat with you, he’ll make sure a part of his body is touching you or quite frankly, it doesn’t count!

He’s very laid back and will do anything you ask (well, apart from tricks). He loves everyone around him, even if he doesn’t know them and is the most loving dog ever. He’s great with children and other animals too!

Bruno in three words.

Tactile. Sensitive. Caring.

Bruno’s firmly a member of the family and has been great at showing his little (big) brother Cooper the ropes. They really are the perfect little and large and get on like a house on fire. None of them would admit it, but they love each other very much.

Bruno, you’re ace.

Want to learn more about Cooper? He’ll be coming to the blog soon. Both the boys are always my Insta-stories too so make sure to follow me on there!
