Since starting this illustration journey at the start of the year, people hasn’t been my strongest point. I love to draw food (obviously) and little quotes. As that’s how I started out at the beginning of the year, I think I’ve gotten pretty good at finding style and cementing myself for it.

So much so that I’ve managed to gain 7,000 followers on Instagram! Don’t get me wrong, at the start of the year I had around 5,800 and to have grown by over 1,000 and likely having lost followers along the way, I’m so so happy and for that reason, I’m going to start looking into portraiture.

I’ve seen a drawing challenge going round creating a half and half portrait of yourself. Half is a photo and half is a drawing you’ve done of yourself. What better way to challenge myself.

I actually ended up doing my portrait twice, as I wasn’t happy with the way the first one came out, it actually ended up looking a bit scary.
