I am obsessed with chocolate. I love love love it and honestly, I’d eat it everyday if I didn’t have the willpower not to eat mountains of it every time I felt the urge. For this reason, I love having ‘normal’ portions of chocolate available to me, rather than a full blown 200g bar, which I will eat with no trouble at all. Lucky for me I received one of the LoveRaw M:lk Choc bars this month and I couldn’t be happier about it.

I’ve had the cookie dough nut cups from LoveRaw before and they were absolutely delicious, you can see the review on them here: Cookie Dough Nut Cups. So seeing something else from the same brand had me super excited!

The bar itself is in super cute purple packaging, which has a hint of cadbury’s to me. I’m not sure that was their intention but I like it all the same, it’s very eye-catching. The bar is made in the UK, palm oil free and of course, vegan! On the website it says ‘our vegan M:lk Choc Bars are GAME CHANGERS; this is our take on a vegan milk chocolate bar – try it, we think you’ll love it!‘. There’s 6 (I think) sections of chocolate that you’re able to snap off the bar and enjoy, with each bar being 30g.

So what did I think?

I had high hopes for this chocolate. I’m still looking for the creamy chocolate dupe of my dreams and although this was amazing, it’s not quite what I wanted it to be. Now don’t get me wrong, it was super delicious and the texture was great but the sweet creaminess of something such as Bournville just wasn’t there for me and when I’m eating chocolate, that’s what I want.

I would eat one of these bars again though and I’d love to try the peanut butter bar that I’ve spied on their website, so I’ll be keeping my eyes peeled for those. If you’d like to try this chocolate out for yourself, you can see their full range on LoveRaw’s website here: M:lk Choc.
