Service Not A Sell

Whether you’re a small business owner or simply wanting to sell something to someone in terms of ideas, opinions or something you think they’d like it’s important to think of this in the terms of not selling something to some but providing a service. After all, someone might not be willing to simply buy something if they like it but knowing it can serve a purpose, makes it a whole lot more meaningful.

For example, with my stickers (Food pun stickers) they are just cute illustrations but I actually hope that when people purchase and use them they mean a little more. I hope they provide a service in terms of making someone think differently about their attitude towards the day ‘squeeze the day’ or simply make them realise you don’t need to pretend to be something you’re not ‘Juice be yourself’. Although they’re only small quotes, they have a lot of meaning behind them.

In relation to ideas and opinions, rather than for example tell someone why they should go vegan (example that’s close to me), educate them and let them know what kind of service it could provide to them by doing so. It might be better skin, better digestion, the benefits to the animals, environment and so much more.

What I’m trying to say to you is rather than just say ‘hey, buy my stuff’ or ‘hey, do this’ make sure there’s a reason behind why they should do it so they think it’s going to be more worthwhile or provide a service to them. By just changing the way you think a little, it can make the whole world a little brighter.

Love, always – B
