Being authentic to yourself, whether it’s in real life, via social media or within different settings is so damn important. Being you is going to be so much easier than putting on a persona and it’s going to be easier to keep parallel across all platform you may put yourself on or situations you put yourself in.

This post was actually inspired by a quote from Zac Efron’s Down to Earth programme on Netflix. It wasn’t our Zac himself that said it but Darin, who’s quite a guy and it really resonated with me.

Be you and if people have a problem, that’s their fucking problem.

HELL YEAH.

I can’t even explain how much I love this quote. I wish everyone would stop thinking about;

• How they’re perceived by others
• What others will think about how they want to present themselves
• Whether someone will judge them for an opinion they have on a certain subject
• Why they don’t like the certain ‘trend’ that’s popular right now
• Why you’re not keeping up with the latest TV show

Gals, guys, don’t worry about all that. You watch what you want, wear what you want, say what you want and do whatever the hell you want. As long as you’re happy that’s all that matters. If the way you are annoys someone else, makes someone else not want to be your friend, makes someone see you as being ‘smaller’ than them. That’s their fucking problem, so let them be. It says more about them than you. Okay?
