Barry M Lip Paint in 145 Shocking Pink – Swatches & Reviews

I must of been about 16 when I first purchased my initial Barry M Lip Paint and they continue to be a product which I reach for regularly. There is a great range of colours to choose from with matte, satin and more glossy finishes.

145 – Shocking Pink – is a cool toned fuchsia pink colour with a satin finish. The packaging is a matte black square tube, which does get dirty and fingerprint-y easily but looks more high-end than a plastic tube which other high street brands use. There’s no noticeable scent to the lip paint which is a bonus for many. It applies very easily as the lip paint has a very creamy texture, however I would apply over a lip liner as it can tend to bleed if wearing for a long period of time. As this product has a satin finish it will need topping up throughout the day and can sometimes, especially if I have dry lips, become patchy and wear off unevenly. However it does leave a slight pink stain on the lips so it isn’t too noticeable unless up close. It’s a great lip colour to wear with neutral make-up for a pop of colour but also looks great with a brown smoky eye for a night time look.

I also enjoy using this colour for the ombre lip trend. Placing the lip paint in the middle of the lips and patting out before going over the whole lip with a gloss, or in my case I use the Elizabeth Arden Eight Hour Cream Skin Protectant – full review here – to create a gorgeous summery juicy lip.

The Barry M Lip Paints are a fab and affordable way to try new and bold colours at only £4.49.
