Now if you’re anything like me you don’t like fragrances which are too girly, too clean smelling, too floral, too sweet, too musky. Let me introduce to you – CK One.Don’t get me wrong, sometimes I do enjoy a floral scent or a heavier scent dependant upon the occasion but if there’s a fragrance which is suitable for all situations this is the one I would reach for (£29 for 50ml, Boots).

CK one is a naturally clean, pure and contemporary fragrance with a liberating point of view. The top notes are bright and effervescent, a combination of Bergamot, Cardamom, fresh Pineapple and Papaya. The middle notes contain a special aromatic formulation derived from Jasmine, Violet, Rose and Nutmeg. In the base, two new Musks combined with Amber create a sensuous dry down completing the effect of fullness and warmth. A Green Tea accord travels from top to bottom balancing brightness with sensuality.

It is a unisex fragrance and I think that’s what I like most about it, as personally I love the smell of mens aftershave and have been known to buy bottles for myself in the past. This is the best of both worlds and as well as fitting all situations it also takes you through all the seasons.

On myself I find the fragrance to be long lasting, I wouldn’t say it lasts all day but definitely around 5 hours. The only downside to the product is part of the packaging. The item comes with a pump, for those who wish to spray it, and also a screw lid, for men who wish to use it as an aftershave. However, if like myself you use the spray there’s no lid to put on top so that if travelling with it it doesn’t spray everywhere. You would have to transfer the lids when travelling constantly.

If you haven’t smelt it already, man or woman, I insist you do, you won’t be dissappointed! In my eyes, with CKin2U also being one of my favourite fragrances, you can’t go wrong with a bit of Calvin Klein.
