A Does it All Palette? Stila Eyes are the Window Spirit Palette – Swatches and Reviews

YouTube made me do it. Again..

Stila Eyes Are The Window Spirit Palette – Original Packaging

Browsing Beauty Bay as is my daily routine I noticed that they were offering the Spirit Eyes are the Window palette at just £24 rather than the usual £30 (Beauty Bay), due to it coming in the original ‘plastic’ packaging rather than the updated shiny metal appearance it has now. As it is the product I am more interested in than the packaging itself this seemed like a great deal and so in my basket it went.

The eye shadows themselves are very versatile and neutral, suitable I believe for all skintones giving you the opportunity to do a subtle day time look or a night time glam look. There are a total of 12 eye shadows and there is a great range of matte shades, satin shades and shimmer shades.

This palette is described as Stila’s most iconic shadows which can create limitless eye looks – I completely agree with this. So let’s begin the swatches.. Going row by row vertically, top to bottom as in the palette itself.

Kitten – possibly Stila’s most iconic shade of all time. It’s a wet looking light shimmer shade with pink undertones. It also makes a great face highlight.
Oasis – another shimmer shade this time a golden shade. This is a gorgeous lid colour.
Wheat – A more subtle beige champagne shimmery shade.
Chinois – a matte bone coloured shade. Great as a matte highlight shade or blended all over the eye as a base.

Puppy – a matte golden beige tone. This is a perfect transition colour.
Jezebel – a gorgeous warm rose gold shimmer shade. This a stunning lid colour.
Golightly – a bronze shimmer shade. Perfect for a subtle smokey eye.
Slate – a cool toned grey brown satin shadow. This is a great all over the eye one shadow colour.

Last Row

Pigalle – This is possibly my favourite shade in the palette. This is a satin burgundy shade. Absolutely stunning.
Barefoot – A shimmer warm toned, slightly burgundy shadow. Perfect paired with pigalle to create a smokey eye.
Espresso – a deep brown satin shade. The darkest non-shimmer in the palette, great to use at the lash line to create depth or when creating a more dramatic look.
Pewter – this is the only colour I doubt I will use often. It is a gorgeous deep almost black cool toned shimmer shadow with blue undertones. This would look amazing on the lid as a pop of subtle colour.

Overall I find these shadows are very pigmented and blend smoothly on the eye. They can be used dry or wet to create a more intense colour, this would be great for the more shimmery shadows. This palette is one I can see myself travelling with as it is quite compact and has a good mix of cool and warm tones great for day to night eye looks. The lighter shimmer shadows can also be used as face highlighters, and I love a multi-purpose product.

I definitely want to try more from the  Stila range as I absolutely adore the palette! Is there any items which you would recommend?
