Primark P.S. Pro Oval Brush…

You’ll know if you read my blog that my last Primark beauty buy was an absolute fail. If you’d like to read about that, you can find it here.

This time I decided to go for one of the ‘artis’ style oval brushes. They one I chose was a size which would be suitable for both foundation, concealer and any other cream products. Basically an all-rounder and it was just £4.

After my last review, I decided to not get my hopes up and go with the flow. But to put it to the true test I did a complete cream makeup look. Concealer, foundation, bronzer, blush and highlighter – all cream.

At first touch this brush is not only super soft but very dense, this means it can really buff the product into the skin. When I was blending in my products I found it was best to push down semi-firmly and swipe, before using circular motions to buff the product in.

My goodness, it works well. It blended the product in no time and left the products applied with good coverage – something which the cheapo beauty sponge did not offer me at all. It really impressed me and when applying my other products such as bronzer and blush, it allowed me to blend everything together in such a way that it was seamless and natural looking.

It worked so well with the cream products that I couldn’t stop. I then got my face powder to set under my eyes and the t-zone of my face. Again, great job and it didn’t leave my face looking oily. You’ll be able to see the great results from the images below.

L.A. Girl Pro Conceal in Natural and Toast (£5 each, Beauty Bay)
MAC Studio Face and Body in c4 (£29.50, MAC Cosmetics)
Chanel Soleil Tan de Chanel (£32, Boots)
Topshop Glow Pot in Gleam (£9, Feel Unique)
Rosie for Autograph Cream Blush in Camisole (£14, Marks and Spencers)
L.A. Girl Pro Face Powder in Classic Ivory (£6, Beauty Bay)

If you’re on a budget and have always wanted to see what the oval brush trend is about, although I’ve never tried the  Artis ones I can tell you that this brush is really impressive for the price. I’d definitely recommend it to any makeup lovers out there.

Have you tried any of the other brushes from the Pro range at Primark?

Love, always.
