Super Quick Mani & Blog Update

If you’re anything like me, at the moment life seems like a constant rush. There never seems to be time to get anything done – which at the moment for me includes blogging.

Before we get into my super cute mani, lets address the blog. Now, I’ve been blogging for over 18 months as it stands and I’m loving every second of it. Each week, I challenge myself to write three posts – which is usually more than manageable – but at the moment I am finding it a bit of a struggle. It’s not that I wouldn’t be able to do it, but it’s because I don’t want to be putting up half-arsed posts – I want to be blogging about stuff that will genuinely grab you, provide you with useful information or tips and show the passion that I have for this blog.

Over the past few weeks, although I have been posting almost three times a week each week, there’s been a couple of ‘scheduled days’ which have been missed – and I’m not feeling guilty about it anymore.

I’m sure that you lovely people that all follow me, would prefer to read stuff that’s interesting, full of passion and useful – as I mentioned above. So here’s to going into 2018 with a more relaxed, passionate and exciting opportunity for beccapbeauty.

I do find that these days, I live on instagram – so be sure to follow me on there to keep up to date with everything I’m up to @beccapbeauty – original I know!

So, let’s get into this manicure and stop blabbing.

I found that over the past few weeks I’ve been popping on the nail varnish with no creativity – I just wanted my nails to not be natural. This was all well and good for a while, but now I’m bored.

As much as I love gel varnish – the fact you don’t have to wait for it to dry, it lasts for days and there’s so many different colours – I find that I don’t have as many tricks to be creative with it. So – I thought to myself – why not use a glitter nail varnish over the top of a gel!

It’s so simple, stays on the nails for just as long as a regular gel mani and looks stunning!

Here I’ve gone for the white Bluesky gel polish in French White (Β£5.50, Amazon) and once cured and wiped, I’ve added a Barry M Glitter polish over the top, which is no longer available – but check out their range on Superdrug >>>here<<<

Now, it is a bit annoying that you then have to wait for this to dry – but if you’re impatient (like me), wait about 5 mins and then add a clear gel over the top and cure your nails – tada!

I love that this combination screams winter wonderland, christmas and all the other good things I love about this time of year.

I wish you all a lovely week, and please don’t hesitate to let me know if there’s anything you’d like to see more of on the blog – after all, I do this not just for myself but also for all of you amazing followers out there!

Love, always.
