Let’s Have Some Gin and Get Dolled Up

Recently I was lucky enough to go to a Gin & Disco festival with some of my closest friends and family. Anywhere there’s day drinking, gin and good music – I’m there in a heartbeat.

Even though everything kicked off at 2pm, I still wanted to be super glam – afterall, it was a disco and if that’s not an excuse to get super dolled up, then what is?

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun! (£25.50, MAC Cosmetics)
Applied to bronze the face with the C4 brush from the Skinnydip Shut The Contour set (£35, Beauty Bay)
Sleek Shimmer Blush in Suede (£4.99, Boots)
Applied to the apples of the cheeks with the Real Techniques Blush Brush (£9.99, Superdrug)
Revolution Pro Supreme Hold Setting Spray (£6, Superdrug) all over the face before applying the highlight
Pixi Palette Chloette (£28, Cult Beauty)
Applying a mixture of the highlight shades with the C1 brush  from the Skinnydip Shut The Contour set (£35, Beauty Bay)

Maybelline Tattoo Brow Tint Micro Pen in Soft Brown (£9.99, Superdrug) – applied to the inner third of the eye to create brow like strokes
Tanya Burr Perfect Brow Palette (£7, Feel Unique)
Mixing all three brow shades to define the outer two thirds of the brow
Applied with the Zoeva Brow Line brush (£8, Beauty Bay)

MAC Paint Pot in Soft Ochre (£16.50, MAC Cosmetics)
Applied with the fingers upto the brow and also on the lower lash line
Jeffree Star Cosmetics Thirsty Eyeshadow Palette (£45, Beauty Bay)
Taking the shade Parched – a cream matte shade – all over where the paint pot has been applied
Applying this with the New CID Cosmetics Small Chrome Eyeshadow Brush (£24.50, New CID Cosmetics)
To define the crease, taking the shade Subtle – a cool toned mid brown matte shadow
Applied with the fluffy brush from the Storybook Cosmetics Wand Collection (£40, Beauty Bay)
To then warm this up and define further on the same brush, taking the shade Kumquat – a matte orange toned brown
Taking the same Kumquat shade, applying this all over the lid
Packing the shadow on with the Zoeva Smoky Shader Brush (£9, Beauty Bay)
To deepen the outer corner, applying Stroke – a dark brown warm toned matte shade – using the same Smoky Shader brush

To add metallic sparkle to the eye, taking the shade Lick – a true gold metallic shade
Applying this on a dampened New CID Cosmetics Small Chrome Eyeshadow Brush (£24.50, New CID Cosmetics) onto the inner half of the eye
Next, to define the lash line and outer corner, taking the shade Drizzle – a dark matte brown
Applied using the pencil brush from the Models Own On The Go Collection (£14.99, Models Own)

Under the eye, taking the shade Stroke and Drizzle on the Zoeva Smoky Shader brush
To soften the line and diffuse the shades, taking Kumquat
Applied with the Zoeva Soft Definer brush (£9, Beauty Bay)

To add a pop of colour on the inner corner, taking the shade Quench – a bright matte yellow
Applied with the pencil brush from the  Storybook Cosmetics Wand Collection (£40, Beauty Bay)

On the upper and lower waterline, applying the Rimmel Soft Kohl Eyeliner in Black (£2.99, Boots)
L’Oreal Miss Baby Roll Mascara in Waterproof Black (£7.99, Superdrug) on upper and lower lashes
Pinky Goat False Lashes in Amani (£9.99, falseeyelashes.co.uk)
Duo Brush On Strip Lash Glue in White/Clear (£5.99, falseeyelashes.co.uk)

Stila Stay All Day Liquid Lipstick in Caramello (£16, Beauty Bay)
