Makeup Revolution has fast hit the beauty industry and completely blew up the world we knew.
They bought out launch after launch with affordable makeup, great quality and almost mimicking the top brands. This meant those of us on a budget could have the feel of the expensive brands, without spending top dollar.
What I appreciate the most about Makeup Revolution is that although this tactic has worked in their favour, they haven’t started increasing prices due to their huge fan base. They’ve stuck to what they know and instead released other ranges such as Revolution Pro for slight more expensive ‘luxury’ products.
I was super happy to see that they recently hit over 1 million subscribers on Instagram and I’m not surprised as they know exactly what they’re doing.
To celebrate, they launched a special 1,000,000 eyeshadow palette that you could only get your hands on if you bought £20 worth of their products online with Superdrug.
As I’m sure you’ve guessed by now, I managed to get my hands on this and it’s a dream.
The palette has a purple colour story, with a good mixture of matte, shimmer, cool and warm tones.
The pigment is really high and as you can see in the swatches, there’s a hell of a lot of looks you could create with it – and I’ll be sure to post a look soon.
Although you can’t get your hands on the palette any longer, I wanted to do this post to also show you the amazing things I got my hands on for just £20! So let’s go..
Revolution Brow Tint in Medium Brown (£5, Superdrug)
This brow tint is one that you put on for around two hours and then peel off to reveal a natural looking brow that lasts a few days, meaning you can spend less time on them in the morning.
I’ve yet to try this yet, but I can see a post coming up already!
Revolution Conceal and Define Concealer in C6 (£4, Superdrug)
This concealer was a real deal breaker for Revolution, proving them to be real forward thinkers in the game. It’s loved by everyone from my friends to Jeffree Star and it’s really an amazing product for the price. As mine was on it’s way out, I thought it would be rude to not try another. I don’t really wear concealer much anymore, but when I do, this is the one I reach for.
Revolution Renaissance Lipliner in Classic and Chauffeur (£2.50 each, Superdrug)
For £2.50 I thought these were worth a shot. The pencils look super pretty and the product itself seems creamy but a hard enough pencil for definition to be easy to create. The only thing that concerns me is that the pencils seem plastic and I’m unsure how easy they would be to sharpen – but for £2.50, I won’t complain.
Revolution Sport Fix Spray (£5, Superdrug)
At the moment I’m using the Revolution Pro Supreme Hold Makeup Setting Spray (A Makeup Step We Don’t Need? I Try The Revolution Pro Supreme Hold Setting Spray). Although I couldn’t be sure how well it’s working, I do enjoy that it makes any powders sink into the skin and give a more natural lightweight feel to my makeup. I decided to give this Sport Fix one ago as the reviews online were really good and I believe what the people say.
I love Makeup Revolution and it’s amazing to see how much you can get for your money. I’m always excited for their new launches and if I’m being honest, it’s probably something I look forward to more than most expensive beauty launches.
I’d love to know what the first thing you ever bought from Makeup Revolution was, mine was a the blusher palette in Golden Sugar (£6, Superdrug). I still use it to this day and it’s great to see how far they’ve come!
Love, always.

I’m super curious about the brow tint, but I recently done a post on the Maybelline brow tint and…well, I was left a little unhappy. Would be really interested to see if this gave the same effect x

Oh no! I must check out why you were unhappy. I tried it for the first time tonight but don’t think I left it on long enough so I’ll try again and blog about it x
