A Cool (Toned) Makeup Look

As it gets ever closer to Autumn (no, I don’t want to admit we’re there just yet), all I can think about is cool tones, natural skin and blushed cheeks – like they’ve been caught out in the cold.

To fulfil my need to have all these aspects in my makeup, whilst keeping it not quite full on Autumn, I created this gorgeous look.

The warmer tones of the eyes, mixed with the faux freckles and cool toned lips really scream my ‘mood’ – if you know what I’m saying. There’s also nothing I love more than mixing two lipsticks together to create the perfect shade for my look – I’ve been doing it a lot lately. If you’d like a post about my favourite lip combos, please let me know and I’ll be happy to get them across to you (although it might mean you’ll be wanting to buy two lipsticks rather than one, to create the dreamy colours I create – sorry about that).

So without further ado, here’s the look and how I created it…

Childs Farm Moisturiser (£3.99, Boots)
The Ordinary Silicone Primer (£4, Beauty Bay)
Applied with the fingers by pressing the primer into the skin
MAC Face & Body Studio Foundation in C4 (£30, MAC Cosmetics)
Applied with the Real Techniques Miracle Complexion Sponge (£5.99, Superdrug)
L.A Girl Pro Conceal in Toast (£5, Beauty Bay) to cream contour
Bourjois Healthy Mix Concealer in Medium (£8.99, Superdrug) to conceal and highlight
Also blended in with the Real Techniques sponge
RCMA Translucent Powder (£13, Beauty Bay) to set the makeup
Applied with the New CID Chrome Powder brush (£31.50, New CID Cosmetics)

Makeup Geek Chickadee and Tan Lines (£4.95 each, Beauty Bay)
First applying Chickadee into the crease and blended up to the brow with the Spectrum ao8 brush (£4.99, Spectrum)
Then to define the crease further, I took Tan Lines onto the lid and into the crease with the Zoeva Soft Definer (£9, Beauty Bay)
Morphe Single Shadow in Spice ($2.50, Morphe)
Applied on the outer corner and to define lash line with the Makeup Revolution Pointed Crease brush (£5.99, Revolution Beauty)
L’Oreal Paradise mascara in Waterproof Black (£11.99, Superdrug) to both upper and lower lashes
Rimmel Soft Khol Eye Pencil in Jet Black (£2.99, Boots) in waterline

Tanya Burr Perfect Brows Palette (£7, Feel Unique) – a mix of all three brow shades to create the perfect tone for me
Applied with the Zoeva Brow Line brush (£8, Beauty Bay)
B. Brow Styler in Brown (£4.99, Superdrug) to define the brows

MAC Pro Longwear Blush in Burnt Pepper (£19.50, MAC Cosmetics)
Applied to the high points of the cheeks and across the bridge of the nose with the Real Techniques Blush brush (£9.99, Superdrug)
MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun! (£25.50, MAC Cosmetics)
Applied to the perimeters of the face and cheeks with the Models Own Blush brush from the On The Go collection (£14.99, Models Own)
New CID Cosmetics i-Glow in Sirocco (£27.50, New CID Cosmetics)
Applied with the Zoeva Face Focus brush (£13, Beauty Bay) everywhere you want to glow!
Makeup Revolution Sports Fix Setting Spray (£5, Superdrug)

Gosh Intense Eye Liner Pen in Brown (£6.99, Superdrug)
Dotted around the face where people usually ‘freckle’ and dabbed in with the Real Techniques Sponge

MAC Liptensity Lip Liner in Honey Pecan (£15.50, MAC Cosmetics) to overline the lips
Jeffree Star Velour Liquid Lipstick in Posh Spice (£16, Beauty Bay)
Mixed with Maybelline Liquid Lip Ink in Fighter (£9.99, Superdrug)

Love, always.
