The Dark Lips Are Back

‘Twas the first week of October and the spicy smelling candles were lit. The pumpkin spice lattes were brewing and the blankets were a hit. The return of the dark lipstick was about to take place and here I’ll show you, how to make it work for your face.

Okay, wow. That was something of a delight right – maybe I should become a poet in my spare time – no?

Anyway, the point I’m trying to make is that it’s become colder and as the jumpers start to make a comeback, the baby pinks are getting put aside for the deeper plum toned lipsticks.

I decided what better way to say a big hello to Autumn that posting this gorgeous dark lipped look. I’d love to know what your ultimate favourite dark lipstick is, mines potentially this lipstick mixture combined or just each one alone is also a winner! Maybe I’ll do a look with them individually soon – who knows?!

  1. Such a gorgeous makeup look made even better by a dark lip. Completely with you that the best thing about Autumn/Winter is a dark red or berry lip! It’s the thing I look forward to wearing the most!

      1. Great choices. I’ve always been tempted by Mac Russian Red as I’m a Ruby Woo girl but I’d love to try it out! X

  2. I’ve actually just switched out all my ‘summer’ lipsticks to the back of the drawer in favour of my ‘winter’ ones. Something about a dark lip that just feels cosy at this time of year!!
