Super In a Rush Smoky Eye

Got five minutes? Maybe even 10 at a push? Well, that’s all you need for this super simple in a rush smoky eye.

I find that when I’m stretched for time and all I want is to look super put together, using products I know and love is best. There’s also a couple of other tricks that I think are the glue that hold the fast makeup technique together and I’m going to share them with you now, so you can apply it to whatever makeup look you wish to create.

The first is that you use a foundation you know and love, that’s high enough coverage so you don’t need to use concealer – that’s another two minutes off your overall time surely?
Secondly, use shimmer shadows. There’s no rules on your transition shade being matte and as beautiful as they are, matte shadows can be a bitch to blend – so use shimmers to make your blending quick-time.

Use your fingers. Believe it or not, they’re actually one of the best makeup tools you have – especially when using cream products. The warmth of your hands when blending in cream products allows for a seamless blend and as you’re using fingers, it also means that no product goes to waste or gets sucked up by a sponge or bristle hairs.

Finally be a bit grungy, effortless and mostly have the confidence to rock it. At the end of the day, it doesn’t matter if you’re wearing a full face, half-arsed makeup or you’re going bare – if you’ve got the confidence to pull it off, that’s all that you need. Got half blended shadow? That’s fine, just rock it.

So without further ado, let’s get onto the actual tutorial part of the post.
