I wanted to create a look that I like to call ‘winter fresh’. It’s a really simple makeup look with frost bitten cheeks, to make you look awake, super cute and super glowy (and not in a highlighty way).
When it comes to this time of year, if we’re not covered in highlight we can look a little down in the dumps. It’s just what winter does to your skin. It makes it look dull and lifeless.
I feel like the use of cream blush is essential for really making the cheeks look super alive and if you don’t have one, I’d recommend stocking up and they’re a staple in my collection. I have a warm toned deep pink, a cool toned deep pink (the one featured in this post), a bright pink coral and a peachy tone. I find that if put on the cheeks before any powders and then topped with a powder blush, it means that your blush stays put and looking fresh all day. As I’m sure you all know, it’s always your blush that seems to disappear first – but not when you do this trick.
I hope you enjoy this look and if there’s any tips you have for looking fresh during this time of year, be sure to pop them below. I’m sure everyone, including me, will be super thankful.
