Lady Gaga Golden Globes Inspired Makeup

Lady Gaga is one hell of a woman. I felt like she was so overrated when she first came onto the scene but since she’s let’s say ‘calmed down’ and the world’s learnt about her more as a person, I feel like she’s extremely inspirational.

Now she’s taken the world by storm with her acting, we’re seeing more and more glam looks from her and the one she wore for the Golden Globes was really so beautiful. The glittery purple toned smoky eye with the nude lip was really something that caught my eye and I knew that I wanted to recreate it for a party I was going to, as it’s really the perfect kind of look.

My goal this year is to also put a bit more colour into my shadow. I have so many colourful toned palettes and I always stick to your typical neutral shades, so this look was a perfect way to start the year.

I hope you like it and if there’s any other inspired looks you’d like me to have a go at, please let me know in the comments. I always love your suggestions.

Chloe Morello Beauty Haul Volume II eyeshadow palette: this is no longer stocked sorry!
What I’ve done is link similar shades from Makeup Geek for you to get a good reference from.
First taking the matte deep lilac shade called Pony to define the crease,  like Makeup Geek shadow in Unexpected (£4.95, Beauty Bay)
Applied into the crease with the large fluffy brush from the Unicorn Cosmetics Class of ‘86 Makeup Brush Set (£25, Beauty Bay)
To then define the outer corner, under eye and crease further, taking the shade Morello. This is a shimmer deep burgundy shade, similar to Makeup Geek eyeshadow in Burlesque (£4.95, Beauty Bay)
Applied onto the outer corner and under the eye with the rounded flat brush and then blended from here into the crease with the smaller fluffy brush from the same Unicorn Cosmetics set linked previously
To add the soft cut crease feel and get that super frosty look on the lid all the way to the inner corner,, I took the shades Baby and Platinum mixed from the Chloe palette. The matched shade from Makeup Geek would be a mix of Ice Queen and Pillow Talk  (£4.95, Beauty Bay)
I then repeated the above steps until I got the desired pigment from the eyeshadows
Then taking the Ciate Fierce Flicks eyeliner (£15, Ciate London) to create a wing and line the upper and lower water lines
I then added lashings of mascara to both the upper and lower lashes using the Maybelline Angel Push Up mascara in Waterproof Black (£7.99, Boots)
Applying the Pinky Goat eyelashes in Al Maha (£9.99, falseeyelashes.co.uk) with the Duo Brush On Striplash Adhesive (£5.99, Boots)

Tanya Burr Perfect Brow Palette (£7, Feel Unique)
Taking a mix of the darkest and lightest to match the shade I want and applying with the Zoeva Brow Line brush (£8, Beauty Bay)

MAC Mineralize Skinfinish in Give Me Sun (£25.50, MAC Cosmetics)
Applied to the perimeters of the face to bronze with the New CID Cosmetics Chrome Powder brush (£31.50, New CID Cosmetics)
Taking the shade Promise from the Pixi Beauty Palette Chloette (£28, Cult Beauty) for my blush
Applied to the apples of the cheeks with the Real Techniques Blush brush (£9.99, Boots)
With the same palette, taking a mix of the shades Veil, Honeymoon and Fairytale to create a highlight shade
Applied with the L.A. Girl Fan brush (£6, Beauty Bay)
To set the face, I took the CYO Set to Last Fixing Spray (£5, Boots)

L I P S
MAC Liptensity Lip Liner in Honey Pecan (£15.50, MAC Cosmetics) all over the lip
NYX Lip Lingerie Liquid Lipstick in Push Up (£7, Boots)

Love, always.

  1. Love the colours:) It is true it is easy to not have the best feelings towards someone when we do not know them or only see one side of them as presented. It is very understandable as our mind are wired to make these decision fast for survival reasons. I am also very glad that Lady Gaga gets to show more of herself in media overall as a person . Everyone deserves that chance because we are all deep down beautiful people who want the same thing, true happiness and that is a beautiful thing:) Enjoy!
