Life Got In The Way

Oh man, I’ve been M.I.A for the past week! After an overtime influx at work, I can tell you that although I’m happy to have made that dollar dollar, I’ve missed writing on here for you guys. I’m really enjoying these little weekly updates and I hope you are too. It also gives me the opportunity to let you guys know why I’ve been missing, as well as ask for your opinion on what you want to see on the blog.

I feel that with my upcoming wedding, hen dos, organisational skills to the extreme and eventually my honeymoon, the blog may have to take a slight back step. This isn’t intentional and I’d like to think that all of you, my amazing followers, don’t think I’m leaving you behind. fIf anything, it probably just means it’s going to take a bit more of a lifestyle turn – as everyone’s got the time to talk about their lives haven’t they? Well, I have. Anyone who knows me in real life knows that I’m the chattiest person ever and I always have something to say – so here I am doing so on the blog.

So, apart from overtime what the hell have I been doing?

Dogs
A few of my girls from work and myself decided that it would be amazing for all of our dogs to get together. There’s an abandoned golf course literally five minutes down the road from us where everyone lets their dogs be dogs and run free to their heart’s content. Cooper, my big puppy, had the time of his life – although he did try and get a bit frisky with my friends Spaniel, so embarrassing for me.

My little Bruno pretty much kept himself to himself, although I’m sure that he had a good time. Not only that but this week me and my fiance got Cooper’s DNA test back. We rescued him from a Cyprus shelter in July last year and as handsome as he is, we had no idea what kind of dog he was – but now we know! I recently saw Katy’s video talking all about her dogs and wondered if you’d be interested in a dog post? I mean, who doesn’t love dogs?

TV *Spoiler alert – Grey’s Anatomy/How to Get Away with Murder*
As I haven’t had too much free time, I’ve put Game of Thrones on the back burner for a couple of weeks (in case you’ve seen my previous post >>). Good news for any of you doctor lovers out there though – Grey’s Anatomy is back from it’s winter break. I’ve been cooing over DeLuca and it’s driving me insane that Meredith isn’t seeing what I’m seeing. I mean, hello, he spoke to her in Italian for god’s sake! Anyway, I honestly think that Grey’s is one of my favourite series of all time, although I miss Derek terribly. Who do you think Meredith should be setting her eyes on?
Not only that but How to Get Away with Murder is back too! I honestly don’t know how the whole gang get away with so many murders but Gabriel is shifty isn’t he. I’d love to know what he’s doing behind the scenes. First I thought he was calling his mum all the time but now, I’m not so sure. Either way, I just can’t wait for this weeks episodes, it’s my favourite thing to do on a friday.

Another thing I’ve just started watching is the Ted Bundy files on Netflix. It’s mad how far science has come along since when he completed the murders, it’s mad to think that he committed so many crimes before being discovered and the way he carries himself is so creepy and eerie, it’s like he doesn’t think he’s done anything wrong. Anyway, I’m two episodes in and can’t wait to finish it off!

CrossFit

This topic is a very strange one but I just need to discuss it! I’ve recently started watching CrossFit videos on YouTube. Not ones showing me how to do it but videos about the athletes themselves – especially the women. Sara Sigmundsdottir, Katrin Davidsdottir, Annie Thorisdottir to name a few are my babes. The things they’re able to do absolutely blows my mind and all I can say is that they’re bloody machines. The more I watch their videos, it pumps me up for my own workouts and honestly, I feel I’ve been performing better (which is good as I have a wedding to look damn hot for). Afterall, as Sara says ‘pain is temporary and you’ll feel much better after the workout, no matter how much pain you’ve felt’.

I’d love to know if you’ve been up to anything exciting this week and also if you’d like to see a post about my fur babies. I know I’m biased but they’re amazing dogs and I think you’d like to get to know them.

Love, always.

  1. I’d love a dog post! I’m a rescue dog mom myself and after 4 years, I still notice new things about my Henry.

  2. Congratulations on your upcoming wedding dear. Lately been working on going back to being an air hostess. It’s a job I love but I took a break to raise my kids.😉
