Brows (& Lashes) On Fleek

Ladies, guys and all other humans, there’s a new treatment in town and it’s going to be your new favourite!

Brow lamination.

It sounds, well, really fucking weird but trust me, you’ll not have to use brow gel for the foreseeable. I’m currently two days in. Honestly, I’m well and truly obsessed, so let me talk you through the process.

What is brow lamination?

After much googling, brow lamination is the process of essentially perming your eyebrow hairs to keep them in a desired shape. Apparently, it ‘saves the day’ for those who’ve always dreamed of fluffy brows. I’m tell you now, they’re not wrong.

What actually happens during the process?

When I went to get my brows laminated, I also got my LVL lashes done (more on that later). My beautician first waxed, then tinted my brows the desired colour and then started to ‘perm’ them doing a total of two layers. Each of these stayed on the brows for approximately 10-15 minutes. After this, she placed a sort of ‘gel’ on my brows that really stuck them upright on my face. This gel needed to stay on for 24 hours before washing off. I’d then see the full effect of my treatment.

How long do they last?

Depending on your brow hair and how it reacts to the treatment, you can expect to see the results for around 6 – 8 weeks.

How much does it cost?

This will be completely dependent on your salon. My LVL lashes and brow lamination combined was £60 and the treatment lasted around 1 hour 30 minutes. If you just got your brows done, the treatment would probably be around 50 – 60 minutes and cost about £30-£40.

You mentioned LVL lashes..

Yes, I did. I first got my lashes lifted 2 months ago. This was just before the wedding. I mainly got them for honeymoon, so I didn’t need to worry about my mascara smudging and I still looked a little ‘put together’ in the daytime.

The tint and lift on my lashes really makes a difference as you can see in the before and afters. The results have pretty much lasted until I’ve had them done again too, so I’d definitely say they’ve latest me a full 8 weeks.

Now don’t get me wrong, I’ll still wear mascara but the lift means my mascara really accentuates my lashes and if I can’t be bothered with makeup one day, my eyes still look nice and wide awake!

So, I’m obsessed.

This will definitely be something I carry on getting done. It makes getting ready in the mornings so much easier and if you don’t fancy getting ready at all, well at least your brows and lashes are on fleek!

Have you had your brows laminated or LVL lashes? I’d love to know what your thoughts are and if you also feel like you’ve uncovered a magical treatment.

Love, always – B
