Bumblezest Shots

I recently blogged about the Bumblezest Fuel + Focus drink and they saw my post. It’s great when a brand sees your review and in my case illustrations. They asked if I’d like to try some other things from their range and of course, I jumped at the chance.

In this post, I’ll be talking to you about the shots.

Mind + Mood: Rosemary, Thyme, Dragon

♡ Rosemary
♡ Thyme
♡ Dragon fruit
♡ Half a lemon
♡ Mint
♡ Aronia Juice
♡ Cinnamon
♡ Himalayan salt
♡ Drop of maple

This shot is packed full of superfoods and other functional ingredients and they’re designed to help you focus.

I took this shot and honestly, it wasn’t my personal favourite. If it wasn’t for the lemon juice flavour coming through, I don’t think I’d be able to have drunk it.

I’m a girl who likes herbal flavours but the rosemary and thyme just reminded me more of a savoury flavour and not something I’d want in a shot – if that makes sense?

If I had to describe it I’d say it’s a very strong, unique taste which is definitely shotable. It’s something I would drink again, but I don’t think I’d buy it myself.

The benefits.

Aronia is a type of berry with high levels of antioxidants. These help reduce the risk of many diseases such as cancer, heart disease, general inflammation and diabetes.

I think the big thing for me was the choice of herbs. Rosemary actually prevents brain aging, as well as improves digestion. This makes it a great thing to consume for your mind. Who’d of thought it?

In relation to the thyme, this is great for sore throats, coughs along with poorly stomachs. Again, something I’ve never considered.

The benefits definitely outweigh the strong taste for me, making it something I would drink again for the nutritional elements.

Calm & Comfort: Lavender, CBD & Spirulina

♡ Lavender
♡ CBD (12mg)
♡ Spirulina
♡ Half a lemon
♡ Mint
♡ Chamomile
♡ Cinnamon
♡ Himalayan salt
♡ Drop of Maple

This shot is packed full of ingredients that help you unwind.

I was pleasantly surprised with this one. I think after the first shot I didn’t know what to expect but this was definitely a taste I could get on with.

It reminded me of a herbal iced tea with lemon. It still had a strong flavour which meant it’s perfect for a shot but was a drink I’d definitely buy again if I saw it in the shops.

The benefits.

CBD is something that really struck me in this drink, as it’s not something you tend to find in one. So I thought I’d just look at some benefits. The first is that it helps with anxiety, something I imagine a lot of people are suffering from right now due to lockdown.

It can also help with inflammatory pain, acne and even nerve related pain. That means it’s a great way to naturally relieve any headaches or aches around the body.

Spirulina is a powerful antioxidant which can fight allergies, lower cholesterol and blood pressure, as well as overall detoxify the body.

Would I recommend you buy it?

I think if you’re into the more natural remedies, Bumblezest is definitely a company to look into for their drinks. You can see everything they offer, along with what i’s good for on their website: Bumblezest.

I’m looking forward to trying the other drinks they’ve kindly sent me, so look out for my next blog post on them. Aside from that, make sure to check out my socials for more illustrations, reviews and general day to day food.
