Even Miracles Can Take A Little Time

Last week we received the bad news that our big trip to Disney World Florida had been cancelled. The trip wasn’t until October and we really thought that the world wouldn’t be in such a mess at that point but I guess it’s better to be safe that sorry! This is the first thing that’s had to be moved that’s affected me directly and I’m not going to lie, I did feel sad for a day or two as it’s the only thing I had left to look forward to this year. It’s okay though, in the words of Walt Disney himself ‘even miracles can take a little time’.

We’re lucky enough that the tickets we have for the parks are valid until next year and the company we’ve booked our hotel and flights with are giving us the option to move the holiday to a later date, so we’re just going to have to wait a little longer. In the long run we know it’s for the best and I just wanted to make a little post to remind people that if you’ve had a holiday, event or maybe even your wedding cancelled or delayed due to this pandemic, you’re not alone. We’re all in the same boat and when it comes around to the time that we’re able to go to the event, holiday or wedding it’s going to be so much better as we’ll appreciate it so much more.

Just a reminder that it’s better for the event to be delayed so we can enjoy it how it should have always been, rather than it going ahead with restrictions in place which would cause it to be not quite what we’d always imagined.

Have you had to have any delayed or cancelled due to the pandemic? Be sure to get in touch if you want to talk about it, I’m always here if you want to vent or just speak to someone in the same position to help you feel not alone.

Love, always – B
