There are days when you want to go full glam, there are days when you want to keep the look super simple and there’s days when you want to look fresh and glowing. Especially if you’re feeling a little under the weather.

I think this time of year when it’s cold and miserable outside, not only do we suffer from a dullness to the skin, we’re inundated with colds, bugs and we still have to get up and step into the real world – oh how it sucks being an adult. In times like this, giving your skin that extra something with a pop of colour on the cheeks and lips is the best way to make you look and even feel more alive.

For this look I kept it super simple, as if you aren’t feeling well the extra few minutes of sleep in the morning are more essential than spending time on your makeup. I used tones of orange for my pop of colour – although any colour that compliments your face could be substituted quite easily. Just swap our the cheek and lip colour for those of your choice.

Personally, I think that orange is a great colour for most and the use of highlighter is essential for bringing the glow to you skin.
