On occasion I love a good crisp, but I’ll be honest it has to be something I’m in the mood for or it just ain’t happening. In my The Vegan Kind Subscription box this month we got the Qwrkee cauliflower puffs and I’m here to tell you all about them.
In the words of the brand: Qwrkee create tasty and nutritious plant based foods that all come with a functional benefit. I’m in!
These cauliflower puffs certainly sounded a bit weird at first but according to Qwrkee they’re probiotic (full of good bacteria), vegan, high in protein, high in fibre, gluten free, GM free (not genetically modified).
Upon opening the bag, I was first of all surprised by the size of the ‘puff’. It was like a wotsit but on steroids and without the cheese part!
I’d say the texture of these is very expected for a ‘puff-style’ crisp and although they don’t have a strong flavour, it’s a pleasant one. Just to be straight, I don’t think these crisps taste like cauliflower, they have more of a herby sorta taste. Think of a lightly flavoured crisp.
What a snack.
I’d say these are absolutely perfect for snacking on and as they’re so good for you, you don’t need to feel guilty about it. After looking at the other flavours Qwrkee do, I’d definitely like to try the sweet chilli ones, so I’m going to keep my eye out for those!
You can find Qwrkee on The Vegan Kind and also their own website here.
Have you tried anything from this brand before? I’d love to know what you think and if you have any recommendations!
Love, always – B
