Wedding Portrait: Nick & Kerrie

I recently started doing some wedding portraits as I think turning your favourite pictures into a piece of quirky art is something that’s a little bit different and a super cute idea for a gift. To build up a bit of a portfolio, I asked for some people who follow me on Instagram to allow me to use their wedding pictures for me to make art out of at a super discounted price (so you should definitely follow me on there). Kerrie got in touch with a picture of her and Nick and I was so excited to turn it into a quirky art piece for them both.

Something blue.

For Nick & Kerrie, they gave me a super cute photo of them both that showed them looking so happy and laughing. It was such a lovely photograph and I was excited to turn it into something quirky for my little project. We went with a blue background, which complimented Kerrie’s shoes and Nicks tie perfectly. I love creating a picture with a monochrome feel and this was the perfect candidate for it.

The final piece.

One thing I always find challenging when working on these wedding pieces is the flowers. I want to keep them nice and simple to go with the aesthetic of the piece whilst having enough detail for them to be recognisable as the bouquet that’s being held. Honestly, I really love how this piece came out and if you’d like me to turn your favourite wedding piece into a piece of art, pop on over to my Etsy page here: Wedding Portrait.

Love, always – B
